Take a class with Point Taken.
In a survey of our recent participants, over 98 percent of the respondents indicated that the Point Taken class they attended helped them improve their presentation skills. 1.89% felt their skills were unchanged, and thankfully no one felt they had gotten worse! While we are pretty proud of this data, we know it comes from a successful change process we employ.
This data suggests what we trainers know to be true – anytime you place conscious attention on a topic or skill, and are guided by proven approaches to change, you will see results. You must trust the process (mostly your internal thought process) that brings about behavioral change.
Here are the key components:
- You have to want to be better and believe it to be possible
- You have to make changes proven to result in the improvement you seek
- You need structured, behavioral feedback at the moment you are working toward change
We also find that the more fun the process is, the more likely you are to make progress. Just because you take your development seriously, that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun as well. Often the most improvement comes under the guise of playing.
So even though we are months away from our new year resolutions, let’s pick some areas we want to improve on now…so by New Year’s Eve, we will be all set!
